 HADIAH SASTERA MASTERA


Introduction
Penubuhan Majlis Sastera Asia Tenggara (MASTERA) pada 12 Ogos 1996, di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia adalah bertujuan untuk mewujudkan kerjasama antara negara rantau ini demi membina dan mengembangkan sastera berbahasa Melayu/Indonesia. Salah satu program Nusantara, sebagaimana yang termaktub dalam Deklarasi MASTERA, ialah Hadiah Sastera MASTERA. Hadiah ini adalah salah satu bentuk inisiatif yang dipersetujui oleh ketiga-tiga negara anggota pendiri, iaitu Malaysia, Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Indonesia bagi memenuhi pernyataan yang berikut;
"Mengusahakan peluang-peluang bersama untuk para sasterawan memajukan bakat, penterjemahan penerbitan dan pengiktirafan terhadap pencapaian mutu ciptaan sastera?.

Objectives:

To identify literary works of quality in a variety of genres that are originally written in the Malay/Indonesian language or translated into Malay in Southeast Asian countries

To give recognition at the regional level to quality work and the author who produced the work in the year of assessment

 

Bidang Penilaian:  (Karya Perseorangan)
Kumpulan puisi
  • Collection of short stories
  • Novel
  • Staged dramas
  • Literary reviews/Collection of critiques
 Implementation
 Each country will select three (3) of the best works that represent the five (5) genres to be assessed at regional level.
  • Mastera Malaysia will form the Master Panel consisting of representatives from the three founding countries and Singapore (as an observer country) to select a winner from each country.
  • Each winner will receive prize money of RM10,000.00, a certificate and a plaque.
