The project aims to produce a classic vocabulary as a reference material and guide to students and literary researchers, especially traditional arts and language researchers. It is an extension of the Classical Literary Vocabulary Guide which was published in 1991. The format and content of this project are the same as the book but with some amendments that are deemed necessary. About 80 old manuscripts and oral texts were examined in order to obtain the entries. This soon-to-be-published book contains a preamble and entries complete with meaning, the Jawi spelling of the word (based on old manuscripts), usage examples, reference source, word origin and the pages where the entries were taken..

Advice to the Rulers
One of the important roles of scholars and writers of the past was to give written advice on governance procedure to rulers and dignitaries. Bustam al-Salatin, Taj al-Salatin and Muqaddimah fi Intizam are among the works produced by scholars and writers as guidelines to rulers and dignitaries. The small number of such works in Malay literature is further enriched with the publication of this book, Nasihat Al-Muluk, which was based on the writings of Imam al-Ghazali.Nasihat Al-Muluk contains the findings of research and study by Dr Jelani Harun (literature lecturer at the School of Humanities of Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang) on the views of Imam al-Ghazali with respect to ruling a country, with particular focus given to the characteristics of the rulers and dignitaries, as well as its transliteration. Thus, reading this book is like reading a detailed study of Nasihat al-Muluk and reading the advice of Imam Ghazali to rulers and dignitaries. Clearly, the findings of Dr Jelani Harun’s reseach and the forms of guidance in governance by Imam al-Ghazali will be of great benefit to the reader.

HIKAYAT SERI KELANTAN
Classical works re-published with a more academic introduction or preface by local scholars will be very useful reference material for students and researchers of literature, aside from enriching the country's literary repository.
Hikayat Seri Kelantan is one of the classical works that meets this criterion. This saga tells the oral history of Kelantan’s rulers, beginning with the story of Encik Siti Wan Kembang who ruled ancient Kelantan, which at the time was known by the name of Tanah Serendah Kebuh Bunga Cerangtegayung. This is followed by the story of the adopted daughter of Encik Siti Wan Kembang, the legendary Puteri Sa'dong, who killed her husband for being unfaithful. Puteri Sa'dong abdicated and handed over the state to her brother-in-law, Raja Ibrahim. Subsequently, Kelantan underwent a period of upheavals. The running of the state was passed from one ruler to another until civil wars broke out, involving the neighbouring kingdoms of Siam and Terengganu.
